Century Type has the great fortune to have been around since the “old days” of printing and prepress. We began as typesetters in the early 70s, hence the company name. The 80s brought us into film and creative services. In the 90s we ventured deeper into design and became immersed in the digital world of print and media. But our solid base in the typesetting and prepress fields has given us an advantage: an understanding that printers appreciate and a comfort level from our clients that a job will be done right from start to finish.

Printing - One-Pass-Duplex™
Our digital web press can run both black and white as well as color. It also has the unique One-Pass-Duplex™ technology, which prints on both sides of the sheet simultaneously, minimizing total run time and producing perfect prints in a unique single pass. This proven technology eliminates reprocessing the substrate and also ensures excellent front-to-back registration. In short, printing on both sides at the same time saves time and money.

Printing - Paper Widths
Our digital web-fed press can handle paper widths of up to 12.6 inches, with virtually no restriction on sheet length. Standard formats up to full-bleed 12” x 18”, as well as non-standard formats up to 36 ft can be processed. Jobs can easily be printed on coated and non-coated stock, polyester film, transfer material, latex combination papers and label stock, varying between 60 and 250 gsm. Our press has the ability to handle a wide range of substrates.

Many customers want to print 2,500 pieces, or less, these days. Information
on products and services is changing too fast and they want to keep their
information up to date. Web printing is the ideal solution for typical run-lengths of up to and beyond 1,000 sheets.We own a special niche for short run, color, digital printing.
